Hi Freeion, i've just installed an Ivona voice to my HS3 system running on HomeTroller Series 4 hardware. I left a console running embedded wintel and speaker dot exe using SAPI 5.X and that is working well at this time for my Linux 64 bit box. With my Homeseer 3 Linux installation went to using MS SAPI in Wine which works but is kludgy. I have also read there is much support still for 32bit voice fonts and not as much today for 64bit (running much faster) voice fonts and MS SAPI XX. I don't really know now if anybody is using VR with 64bit Windows 7 and Homeseer 3. I posted the question relating to VR in Windows 7 and Homeseer 3 and have yet to receive an answer. That probably relates to the installation directory of Homeseer 3 at this time. Not too bad though right now as the logs are just showing some grammar directory that it cannot find. I have been trying to get it to work though with VR and having some issues. I went to using the 32 bit SAPI control applet and that is how the new Homeseer 3 speaker dot exe program is working. I am having issues with the mixture and use of the 64 bit SAPI. That said though I recently built a new Homeseer box (server) using 64 bit Windows 7. I have not had issues with TTS / VR using 32bit voice fonts with the current version of MS SAPI on W81. I had major TTS issues and had to tweak the OS to make it work because it was so stripped down.įast forward to Windows 8.1. A couple of years ago went cheap building a MS WHS server with a 64bit OS. Mostly here using the old 32 bit Neospeech / AT&T voice fonts.
